Position overview: To meet production targets, by managing the production equipment, adhering to H&S requirements, meeting PM compliance, improving and securing line efficiency, fault finding and responsible for monthly and weekly maintenance tasks. This role involves shift work, 12-hour shifts, involving days, nights and weekend working.
Key responsibilities include:
- Health and safety checks, work in a safe manner following the company guidelines
- Completion of daily and monthly PM’s
- React to breakdowns
- Problem solving and identifying faults
- Work within a team, building and sharing knowledge, lead and help the mechanics when needed
- Prioritise work to maximise output
- Communicate with your Team Leader, and communicate good and effective handovers
- Ensure all Quality checks and start-up sheets are complete
What are we looking for?
- Engineering qualification
- Salary – starting at £53,265.16
- Flexibility and team player
- Time served in a similar environment (production, manufacturing, FMCG)
- Able to understand and interpret data
- Engineering line work experience
- Fabrication and welding skills
- Good English and Maths
- Lean manufacturing experience would be desirable
