Overview
The role of our Goods In and Stores Operator is primarily to ensure the receipt of, and booking in of, delivered goods in a courteous and timely manner. In addition, the role will be to support the Warehouse team and the Stores team.
Main duties
- Goods In
- Receipt and booking in of all deliveries into SAP
- Check delivery against the delivery note and chase for missing notes or items
- Match deliveries to Purchase Orders
- Create and distribute the daily goods received list
- Distribute deliveries when required and chase for collections
- Manage the DHL collections
- Create and attach SAP labels for stock items
- Assist Stores team with Cycle Count and Stock Take
- Deliver spare parts to stores area
- Assist with housekeeping and 5S activities
- Disposal of cardboard
- Provide holiday cover for the Engineering Spare Parts Controller
- Support with warehouse activities when required
What we are looking for
- GCSE’s grade C and above
- SAP and Microsoft office suite (essential)
- Stores training, stock taking and auditing (desirable)
- Ability to work independently and strong decision-making skills
