Position overview: As the Palletizer Maintainer, you’re a key member of the Wakefield Team.
You will contribute to the success of Ball by performing tasks and proving services to support the plant's production goals and overall business plans. The Shift Pattern is 4 on - 4 off,
39 hours per week.
Every cycle includes 7 rotations 4 on – 4 off followed by 18 days off ( fixed vacation days included ).
This shift pattern covers also 1 training day, 2 maintenance days, and 1 crew day.
Your key responsibilities include: Performs various manual or mechanical production and support functions by operating, adjusting, and repairing the production and support equipment to meet customer specifications.
Performs preventative maintenance on production and support equipment as required.
Responsible for replenishing supplies, materials, and parts required for assigned area.
Supplies and maintains required hand tools.
Wrap pallet of product after final inspection Label pallets according to Works Order Hand over to the on-coming Support Pack and inform him/her of the state of the line Assist on print changeovers Assist with quality checks Assist with cleaning machines on Maintenance days Experience and skills required: Job-related experience for 2 years minimum in the manufacturing environment.
Mechanical Engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
Experience of preventative and planned maintenance (mandatory)The ability to assist with breakdowns and line conversions (mandatory)Sound communication skills, ability to clearly explain processes.
Fluency in written and spoken English.
