Join to apply for the Manufacturing Line Operator - Final Product Inspector (FPI) role at Ball Corporation.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain safe working practices (SEV) and comply with any legal environmental and safety requirements and/or checks, always work safely and to report unsafe conditions to their supervisor or shift manager immediately.
  • Conduct pallet inspection and carry out the required quality checks, and monitor the manufacturing process.
  • Monitor and escalate Quality issues to the Quality department and ensure that the Shift Manager / Team Leader is informed of any issues affecting the quality of the product through the shift.
  • Decision maker on Non-Critical HFI Pallet disposition (Release, Sort, Scrap) and completing necessary paperwork during the shift, label sign off during QC holidays and attending shift changeovers.
  • Carry out the audits and provide the data, maintaining 5s standards, WGLL and changing the banders.
  • Operating/maintaining ticket printers and changing tickets.
  • Operating Quality computer systems (SFOL / SharePoint / Viscan).
  • Read/understand production plan and spec requirements and request pallets from warehouse process.
  • Promote quality improvement and preventative actions by involvement in continuous improvement activities to meet the key performance objectives and targets.
  • Supporting sorting activities when required.
  • Undertake activities as directed by the Quality Supervisor/Quality Manager.
  • Stand in/cover for QC as and when required.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience within a similar quality-based role
  • Knowledge of GMP
  • Knowledge of FSSC, ISO 9001, ISO14001 & OHSAS18001
  • Knowledge of HACCP
  • Ability to apply standard plant quality assurance techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of plant quality assurance tasks.
  • Attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills
  • Fluent in English
