Manufacturing Line Operator – Final Product Inspector (FPI)
Join us as a Manufacturing Line Operator – Final Product Inspector (FPI) at Ball Corporation.
Position Overview
The FPI will ensure compliance with Plant Quality Standards to meet Quality Requirements and Procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain safe working practices and comply with environmental and safety regulations.
- Conduct pallet inspections, quality checks, and monitor manufacturing processes.
- Report quality issues to the Quality department and inform Shift Manager/Team Leader of any problems.
- Decide on Non-Critical HFI Pallet disposition (Release, Sort, Scrap) and complete related paperwork.
- Perform audits, maintain 5S standards, and manage banders.
- Operate and maintain ticket printers and quality computer systems (SFOL, SharePoint, Viscan).
- Understand production plans and request pallets from warehouse.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance quality and meet KPIs.
- Support sorting activities as needed and cover for QC when required.
Qualifications
- Experience in a quality-focused role.
- Knowledge of GMP, FSSC, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and HACCP.
- Attention to detail, basic computer skills, and fluency in English.
