Primary Purpose of the Position

Establish and enforce data management excellence standards to optimize manufacturing processes, enhance data analysis techniques, provide practical recommendations to improve Ball's business applications, ensuring data integrity, support decision-making and sustained success.

This position can be based out of any EMEA location. Candidates from the EU will be given salary information prior to the interview.

Essential Responsible Areas

  • Develop and implement standards of excellence in data management to ensure data integrity, security and confidentiality.
  • Design data management solutions that are efficient, scalable and flexible.
  • Analyze data and performance metrics to identify trends, patterns and valuable insights that can assist in strategic decision-making.
  • Work with multi-disciplinary teams to understand manufacturing data needs and ensure they are efficiently addressed.
  • Develop and implement data governance policies to ensure that data is collected, stored, processed and used within compliance guidelines.
  • Support IT team to develop data security strategies to protect Ball's confidential data.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate data management tools and technologies to meet the specific needs of Ball.
  • Conduct regular assessments to monitor data quality and implement data cleaning, standardization and data improvement processes.
  • Provide training and support to ensure users understand and effectively use data management tools.
  • Continuously evaluate data management practices and propose improvements to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of Ball's data management processes.
  • Be a second Subject Matter Expert in MES data collection and system usage across PHC, covering MASA and other systems used (full training will be provided across each MES system used in PHC).

Qualifications, Skills And Knowledge Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or Data Management.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Data Management activities and data analysis.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with BI tools and dashboard management.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in integration and leadership of multifunctional teams focused on data.
  • Demonstrated skill in
  • Advanced proficiency in BI tools and dashboard construction (Power BI / Qlik Sense).
  • Advanced proficiency in ERP tools (SAP-PP / MM / PM).
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in relational databases and data processing (ETL).
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in programming languages (SQL / VBA).
  • Intermediate proficiency in statistics applied to data management and continuous improvement.
  • Working knowledge of
  • Cloud Data Management (Snowflake / Azure).
  • Industrial Data Management (Sensing / PLC / Data Concentrator / SCADA / MES).
  • Robotic Process Automation (RPA) / AI / Machine Learning / Data Model.
  • Process Mapping / BPMN.
  • AI-Assisted Analytics (using Microsoft Copilot, Power BI Copilot, or similar AI tools) would be an advantage.
