Position overview:

As the Kettering Electrical Supervisor you will be a key member of the wider Engineering Team that plays a critical part in supporting the plant\’s overall business plans and objectives. Your main focus will be to build and lead an effective, cohesive and committed team which will maintain maximum safety, quality and production standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Technical supervision of the electric service and maintenance group.
  • Delivers modernization and renovation of assigned electrical systems and for setting and commissioning of installed equipment.
  • Assists and trains the Company’s personnel operating the electrical equipment.
  • Identifies inefficiencies and potential electrical problems and define corrective actions.
  • Coordinates, plans and controls all activities, keep records and fills in required forms.
  • Experienced in the programming of Rockwell PLCs.
  • Controls and programmes PLCs for proper equipment operation
  • Tracks and identifies improvements to drive down usages.
  • Defines materials, parts and tools required for specific tasks.
  • Initiates, reviews, masters, and follows all standard operating procedures.
  • Has knowledge about and apply principles of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001.
  • Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the division and the group.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience in a people-leading role in a high-speed, 24/7 manufacturing or industrial company.
  • City & Guilds Electrical Installation Level 3, or HNC/HND qualification
  • Clear communication across all levels and ability to train colleagues as needed.
  • Working knowledge of the following areas: electrical equipment nomenclature, solid state circuitry, electronics, electrical-mechanical devices, transmission systems, interface units, AC/DC motors, wiring diagrams and schematics, computers and inspection and digital devices.
  • Fluent in English.
