Position Overview
The Back End Team Leader will lead the operator's team to provide high-quality cans with the lowest spoilage at required production efficiencies and provide cans in a safe, low, cost-effective, and environmentally sustainable, highly efficient manner both from the Tooling and Machinery.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Leading team briefs and communicating daily and monthly KPIs to the teams
- Providing regular reports to shift manager
- Supporting teams in solving problems with the close cooperation of the engineering team and front end team leader
- Control usage of parts/tools and maintenance spend to budget
- Provide innovative sustainable, cost-saving plans
- Develop maintenance and overhaul procedures for back end equipment
- Work with maintenance software/schedules
- Understand and support the printing process, inside spray and necker process
- To plan and manage back end and downgauging projects with the engineering team
- To manage improvement projects in the back end
- Support and Implement SMED activities for improved efficiency

- Attention to detail, including the ability to spot defects or mistakes
- Ability to follow and set up new processes
- Sound communication skills, ability to clearly explain processes
- Basic understanding of the lean framework
