As a Quality Specialist, you serve as a pivotal leader in ensuring that aluminum can products meet and exceed established quality and food safety standards. With advanced expertise, you develop and implement quality assurance protocols, conduct in‑depth analyses, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Your role involves close collaboration with cross‑functional teams to enhance product integrity, optimize processes, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain the Quality Management System designed by the Global Quality team, aligned with plant goals and local regulatory requirements.
  • Lead internal and external audits, ensuring readiness and compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
  • Identify improvement opportunities, develop action plans, and lead cross‑functional teams to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
  • Deliver training programs to enhance the quality competencies of team members across the plant.

What We Are Looking For

  • 4+ years of experience in quality within the food manufacturing sector (mandatory).
  • Technical Certificate or Associate Degree (required).
  • Advanced degrees or certifications such as Six Sigma Green Belt or CQI (preferred).
  • Proficiency with advanced quality tools and software, including SPC, Minitab, ERP systems, control‑chart set‑up, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Advanced problem‑solving skills, ability to lead root‑cause analysis, investigate deviations, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Experience with data collection systems, both digital and manual, and audit processes.
  • Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food‑contact requirements in can manufacturing.
  • Experience in non‑conformance management, including product isolation, traceability, and documentation.
  • Ability to maintain records and evidence for internal and external audits.
  • Project‑management capability to lead quality improvement projects from conception through implementation.
