Position overview:

The Manufacturing Line Operator – Final Product Inspector (FPI) will ensure that the Plant Quality Standards are driven on to meet the set Quality Requirements and Procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintain safe working practices (SEV) and comply with any legal environmental and safety requirements and/or checks, always work safely and to report unsafe conditions to their supervisor or shift manager immediately.
  • Conducting pallet inspection and c arry out the required quality checks and monitor the manufacturing process.
  • Monitor and escalate Quality issues to the Quality department and ensure that the Shift Manager / Team Leader is informed of any issues affecting the quality of the product through the shift.
  • Decision maker on Non-Critical HFI Pallet disposition (Release, Sort, Scrap) and c ompleting necessary paperwork during the shift, l abel sign off during QC holidays and a ttending shift changeovers
  • Carry out the audits and provide the data, m aintaining 5s standards, WGLL and c hanging the banders
  • Operating Quality computer systems (SFOL / SharePoint / Viscan)
  • Read / understand production plan and spec requirements and r equesting pallets from warehouse process
  • Promote quality improvement and preventative actions by involvement in continuous improvement activities to meet the key performance objectives and target
  • Supporting sorting activities when required
  • Undertake activities as directed by the Quality Supervisor/Quality Manager
  • Stand in/cover for QC as and when required

What are we looking for?

  • Proven experience within a similar quality-based role
  • Knowledge of GMP
  • Knowledge of FSSC, ISO 9001, ISO14001 & OHSAS18001
  • Knowledge of HACCP
  • Ability to apply standard plant quality assurance techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of plant quality assurance tasks.
  • Basic computer skills
