About The Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for Fluid Support Operative to join our Ground Engineering team.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Have day‑to‑day responsibilities of Fluid Support Plant (Bentonite/Polymer);
  • Plan the set‑up of the area, mobilise plant and equipment, mix & testing of Bentonite/Polymer and send to various site locations;
  • Manage and operate plant systems under different site conditions, liaise with and answer to the Site Supervisor, take the lead with Fluid site activities and be the first point of contact for weekly site‑based employees;
  • Assist Supervisor with the safe and efficient running of the contract on site, manage equipment including resource and support to ensure the company HSEQ system is implemented;
  • Assist Supervisor in promoting Excellence, Teamwork, Integrity and Respect;
  • Ensure familiarity with relevant company policies and procedures and that these are followed at all times.

Who we’re looking for:

The successful candidate will have the following skills and knowledge:

  • Basic IT skills for the use of BIM and construction management tools;
  • Development, training and coaching ability;
  • Knowledge of piling techniques in the rotary discipline;
  • Relevant manufacturer/supplier training where required;
  • Basic understanding of safety protocols and best practices;
  • Understanding of quality assurance and quality control processes;
  • Knowledge of site method statements, procedures, risk assessments and site‑specific rules;
  • Knowledge of piling techniques within the discipline;
  • Basic mechanical knowledge of Ground Stabilisation and Piled Foundation equipment.

Essential:

  • CSCS – Skilled Piling Operative
  • CPCS – Lift Supervisor, Slinger, Signaller, Rig Attendant
  • CITB – SSSTS / SMSTS
  • First Aid Fit For Role – Safety Critical Medical (SEQUAL Registered)

Desirable:

  • Temporary Works Supervisor
  • CPCS Appointed Persons
  • CSCS Crawler Crane
