The role involves supporting land survey requirements for a large-scale critical infrastructure project in Scotland.
What you'll be doing
- Assist project team in acquisition of assets, topographical, production, or as-built surveys and in provision of control and setting out.
- Process, calculate and verify subcontractor production.
- Produce and issue machine control models or check models from subcontractors.
- Collate as-built information from subcontractors.
- Manage survey control stations throughout construction.
- Align engineering staff to standardised survey requirements to ensure consistency.
- Manage survey equipment, ensuring annual inspections and on-site checks are completed on schedule.
- Implement and manage surveying requirements for the project.
- Establish and manage a survey control network on site.
- Implement standardised surveying requirements and communicate them internally and to subcontractors.
- Assist in valuation calculations of completed works, verifying production rates for commercial teams.
- Produce, collate, store, and output as-built information per quality assurance processes.
- Accountable for control and maintenance of all survey equipment per company procedures.
- Produce or check machine control models being used, ensuring they are current and issued for construction.

Who we're looking for
- Knowledge and experience in current survey software, including production and management of machine control models.
- Experience in substantial earthworks projects.
- High levels of experience with modern survey equipment, including setting up base stations for GPS equipment shared between stakeholders.
- Prepared to assist in developing engineering staff to ensure they can complete survey tasks to a defined process.
