Join our Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick team as a Records Area Co‑ordinator on the Hinkley Point C Project.

About Hinkley Point C: The first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years; Hinkley Point C in Somerset will provide low‑carbon electricity for around 6 million homes, create thousands of jobs and bring lasting benefits to the UK economy. Marking a significant milestone in the revitalisation of our nuclear power industry, Hinkley Point C will make a major contribution to the UK’s move to reduce carbon emissions. The electricity generated by its two EPR reactors will offset 9 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions a year. This role will be 20% site based and 80% based at our SDC offices in Bridgwater.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Completions orientated Records Area Co‑ordinator interfacing with MEH Alliance Multi‑Disciplinary Teams and relevant stakeholders to capture & process Area discipline type LTQR deliverables on time and in line with Project deadlines ensuring completion and delivery of associated scope LTQR deliverables to support End of Erection Status Reports.
  • Take responsibility of assigned Area and be the main point of contact for all Area LTQR deliverables.
  • Manage & support assigned Area to capture & progress relevant records in accordance with project deadlines to meet handover specifications.
  • Address any upcoming issues promptly in line with MEH Alliance contractual requirements; liaise with Site Wide Records Discipline Leads to progress specific Area LTQR Deliverables, on time and ensure complete records against Area scope.
  • Monitor and offer continuous support to assigned area technicians to ensure performance and targets are met (coordinating and assigning individual records Technicians work).
  • Support with training and knowledge sharing amongst the team, provide data for management review and reporting.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Excellent IT skills and experience in applying electronic document management systems (EDMS) and associated metadata schemas.
  • Experience on EDMS automation systems and control of LTQR records would be an advantage.
  • Proven experience of interaction and resolving issues with a wide range of stakeholders in a multi‑cultural environment.
  • Experience working in a quality assurance/control environment within the nuclear industry or other relevant safety‑critical industry would be beneficial.
  • Qualifications in an Engineering discipline, ONC / HNC / HND (or equivalent experience) beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Able to obtain a BPSS security clearance.
