About the role
Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Sub Agent to join our Infrastructure team, based in and around Warrington, supporting the delivery of heavy civil engineering projects across the region.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting the Site Agent in the planning, coordination and delivery of heavy civil engineering works
- Managing day-to-day site operations to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to budget
- Supervising engineers, subcontractors and site teams
- Leading works involving highways, concrete structures, earthworks and associated infrastructure
- Ensuring works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications and quality standards
- Contributing to RAMS, permits, programmes and method statements
- Promoting Balfour Beatty’s Zero Harm culture across all site activities
- Liaising with clients, stakeholders and supply chain partners
Who we're looking for
- Proven experience working as a Sub Agent, or as a Senior Site Engineer on heavy civils projects
- Strong experience in roads/highways and concrete works
- Coastal defence, flood defence or highways experience desirable
- Solid understanding of health & safety, quality and environmental controls
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
- Relevant civil engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)
- SMSTS and CSCS (or working towards)
