We provide specialist, reliable, sustainable and creative advice for asset management planning and implementation in the UK. Our Balfour Beatty Highways business has a terrific opportunity for a Section Engineer to support the Design Engineering team in delivering projects related to our Lower Thames Crossing project .
What you\’ll be doing
- Carry out complex setting out
- Coaches subordinates in the use of setting out techniques
- Actively uses the Specification as a reference document
- Identifies, raises, and actions Non-Conformance Reports
- Identifies and raises Technical Queries with possible solutions
- Produces Method Statements and Risk Assessments
- Produces a weekly programme and measures progress against KPI’s

- Able to carry out complex setting out
- Understands and has experience of producing ACP
- Understanding of construction tolerances
- Awareness of Specification and other Contract documents
- Understands Permit System and actively raises permits to Work
- Good understanding of key contract documentation
