About the role
SZC is owned by EDF and HMG, with investments through NNB Holdings Company (SZC) Limited. The project involves designing, financing, constructing, operating, maintaining, and decommissioning the Sizewell C nuclear power plant in Suffolk, including related infrastructure like hydrogen, direct air capture, and desalination activities. The current focus is on securing funding, completing core supply chain contracts, and obtaining necessary permits and licenses. Previously part of EDF's Nuclear Development division, SZC is transitioning to independent operation, capable of delivering a new nuclear power plant from investment to decommissioning. The project replicates Hinkley Point C's technical and commercial framework, with EDF as a key nuclear capability provider. Key stakeholders include the UK Government, regulators, EDF, investors, and local communities.
What you'll be doing
- Manage daily activities of the MSD, acting as the main interface and collaborating with supply chain partners, CWA Plant, and other teams.
- Focus on delivering value, managing performance and compliance, and fostering innovation.
- Regulate alliance partner plant hire volumes to maximize CWA equipment utilization.
Who we're looking for
Essential Background in Plant & Logistics, operational management, stakeholder management, and leadership skills. Commercially astute and disciplined in compliance and performance management. Basic legal and contract law understanding is desirable. Customer-focused, driven, and self-motivated.
Desirable Experience with M&E and nuclear classified buildings. Temporary works experience and knowledge of health and safety legislation.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential: Engineering or Building degree. Desirable: Chartered status or working towards it.
