Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a HSEQ Auditor to join our outstanding Major Projects team to work at our Old Oak Common development in London. The new c. 1 billion Old Oak Common station will become the UK's best-connected rail station once completed.
As a HSEQ Auditor you will be responsible for ensuring the Old Oak Common Project has a comprehensive risk-based audit process embedded to verify compliance of both BBVS and Supply Chain parties to legislative, corporate and contract requirements.
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of HSEQ requirements (including statutory and contract).
- Support Audit Manager with development and maintenance of a risk-based audit schedule for HSEQ ISO compliance.
- Arrange and manage Internal and supply chain audits, including producing reports and supporting close out of findings.
- Co-ordinate and manage external audits including those from JV partners, client, certification bodies and other interested parties.
- Assist with investigations regarding quality incidents, determining facts and root causes, including issuing reports and associated recommendations.
Who we’re looking for:
- Internal auditor (ISO 9001) Qualified.
- Self-confident with the ability to build strong relationships with project team members, suppliers, client representatives, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to gather, analyse and evaluate facts, make appropriate judgements, and act accordingly without undue delay.
- Pays attention to detail and sees things through to completion.
- Can communicate effectively (orally and written).
- Ability to influence others including senior management.
- Can demonstrate initiative and resilience.
- Acts professionally, both independently and collaboratively, with others.
- Has an enquiring and questioning approach.
- Good time management.
- Use of Word and Excel to an intermediate level.
- An aptitude for IT deployment.
