Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a HSEQ Auditor to join our outstanding Major Projects team to work at our Old Oak Common development in London. The new c. 1 billion Old Oak Common station will become the UK's best-connected rail station once completed.

As a HSEQ Auditor you will be responsible for ensuring the Old Oak Common Project has a comprehensive risk-based audit process embedded to verify compliance of both BBVS and Supply Chain parties to legislative, corporate and contract requirements.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of HSEQ requirements (including statutory and contract).
  • Support Audit Manager with development and maintenance of a risk-based audit schedule for HSEQ ISO compliance.
  • Arrange and manage Internal and supply chain audits, including producing reports and supporting close out of findings.
  • Co-ordinate and manage external audits including those from JV partners, client, certification bodies and other interested parties.
  • Assist with investigations regarding quality incidents, determining facts and root causes, including issuing reports and associated recommendations.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Internal auditor (ISO 9001) Qualified.
  • Self-confident with the ability to build strong relationships with project team members, suppliers, client representatives, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to gather, analyse and evaluate facts, make appropriate judgements, and act accordingly without undue delay.
  • Pays attention to detail and sees things through to completion.
  • Can communicate effectively (orally and written).
  • Ability to influence others including senior management.
  • Can demonstrate initiative and resilience.
  • Acts professionally, both independently and collaboratively, with others.
  • Has an enquiring and questioning approach.
  • Good time management.
  • Use of Word and Excel to an intermediate level.
  • An aptitude for IT deployment.
