Help connect Scotland's clean energy to homes and businesses. Join our Power Transmission & Distribution team as a Finance Manager on the ASTI programme-major works that strengthen the electricity network so renewable power can move from generation in the north to where it's needed across the UK.

What you'll be doing
- Own the numbers: Build and manage ASTI project budgets; forecast costs and cash; track KPIs and project performance.
- Control & optimise: Implement cost controls and spot efficiency opportunities without compromising quality.
- Tell the story: Prepare and present clear, insightful reports to senior leadership; lead the period-end cycle.
- Cash is king: Monitor cash flow and liquidity; ensure timely payments to vendors and subcontractors.
- Assure & comply: Coordinate internal/external audits; ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and our Gated Business Lifecycle.
- Partner for outcomes: Work closely with project managers, engineers, commercial and other stakeholders to align financials with delivery milestones.
- Commercial focus: Apply sound commercial judgement; NEC Option C/E experience is a real advantage.
- Ledger discipline: Reconciliations, journals, and validation of revenue and profit.
- Invest smartly: Support capital planning, evaluate tenders and ad-hoc initiatives with robust financial analysis.
- Improve continuously: Identify and implement process improvements across finance operations.
Who we're looking for
- Qualified: ACCA or CIMA.
- Proven: Experience operating at a similar level within project environments.
- Commercially sharp: Strong financial and commercial acumen; experience with NEC contracts (Option C/E desirable).
- Influential: Able to translate complex financials into clear actions for non-finance stakeholders.
Where you'll work
- Base: Aberdeen or Kirriemuir (hybrid).
- Pattern: We work flexibly, with a minimum of 3 days a week in the office to collaborate with the project team and key stakeholders.
- Travel: Some travel to other sites/offices and business meetings will be required.
