About the role
Join Balfour Beatty, as we embark on a major upgrade to a Rolls-Royce facility in Derby, this a major project supporting the UK Government\’s industrial and defence capabilities. This is a unique opportunity for a proven Construction Manager to lead the delivery of complex, high-value construction in a secure, highly regulated environment.
Joining our Major Projects team where you will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage client and stakeholder relationships, and ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
What you\’ll be doing
As a Construction Manager you will:
- Leading the on-site construction delivery of a major infrastructure project
- Managing subcontractors and ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently, and to spec
- Coordinating project logistics, resources, schedules, and reporting on progress
- Driving high standards of health & safety, quality control, and environmental compliance
- Collaborating closely with clients, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders
- Identifying risks and resolving issues to maintain momentum and programme targets.

- Experience in construction management within the infrastructure or building sectors
- Strong leadership and communication skills with a track record of successful project delivery
- A practical understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and health & safety regulations
- Experience working on NEC or JCT contracts is advantageous
- SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid at Work certifications required
- Ability to lead teams and manage subcontractor relationships effectively.
