Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Sub Agent to join our Infrastructure team, based in and around Warrington, supporting the delivery of heavy civil engineering projects across the region. This role is suited to an experienced Sub Agent or a Senior Site Engineer ready to step up, with a strong background in roads, concrete and major civil engineering works.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting the Site Agent in the planning, coordination and delivery of heavy civil engineering works
- Managing day-to-day site operations to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to budget
- Supervising engineers, subcontractors and site teams
- Leading works involving highways, concrete structures, earthworks and associated infrastructure
- Ensuring works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications and quality standards
- Contributing to RAMS, permits, programmes and method statements
- Promoting Balfour Beatty’s Zero Harm culture across all site activities
- Liaising with clients, stakeholders and supply chain partners
Who we're looking for:
- Proven experience working as a Sub Agent, or as a Senior Site Engineer on heavy civils projects
- Strong experience in roads/highways and concrete works
- Coastal defence, flood defence or highways experience desirable
- Solid understanding of health & safety, quality and environmental controls
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
- Relevant civil engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)
- SMSTS and CSCS (or working towards)
