Responsibilities
As a Level 3 Apprentice Estimator, your job is like working out the shopping list and price tag for what it takes to make buildings work. You’ll learn how to read simple plans and digital drawings (like CAD/BIM), measure what’s needed, and help turn that into clear costs for materials, labour, and transport. Day to day you’ll compare quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to find best value, build your understanding of building services systems (HVAC, pipework, plumbing, and electrics), and use tools such as Excel, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD to keep tidy cost summaries and tender logs. You’ll also get out on site to gather information and chat with project managers, clients, and technical teams, while learning how we check risks and meet regulations.
You will be enrolled on the Level 3 Building services engineering technician Apprenticeship.
Qualifications
For our Level 3 Apprenticeship, you’ll need 5 GCSEs or equivalent at passing grades. This programme offers a mix of practical experience and theoretical learning, with a focus on more technical or specialized roles to help you build expertise. Based at our Warrington office you will travel across the North West to visit various project sites so driving licence would be preferred.
