Temporary Works Co‑ordinator – Net Zero Teesside
Balfour Beatty is seeking a dynamic Temporary Works Co‑ordinator to contribute to the Net Zero Teesside (NZT) project based at our new site in Redcar and Cleveland.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with all parties involved in the design and construction of temporary works.
- Liaise with clients to determine if schemes may affect the public and to ascertain approval process and certification required.
- Compile and periodically update a Temporary Works Schedule (TWS) with all relevant information and review the schedule with the Temporary Works Designer (TWD) and Project Lead.
- Ensure that an adequate Temporary Works design is carried out.
- Supervise and assess the competence of the TWS with the Project Lead.
- Prepare/review the design brief for adequacy/completeness prior to issue to TWD.
- Ensure that the duration for temporary works designs, checking and construction are realistically timed in the construction programme.
- Ensure that the completed designs are obtained from the TWD within the required deadline.
- Discuss any changes to the design with the TWD and manage the design change process.
Qualifications
We are seeking a dynamic and competent Temporary Works Co‑ordinator who demonstrates a balanced mix of experience, technical knowledge, training and qualifications. A strong preference is given to candidates who have previously worked on projects similar in scale and complexity to NZT.
