Street Lighting Operative

Join our Living Places team as a Street Lighting Operative based at our BB Northants PFI Depot, East Midlands, where you will have the opportunity to be part of a highly skilled team and the opportunity to learn from some of the best in the industry., As a Street Lighting Operative, your main responsibilities will be as follows:-

• Maintenance of Lighting Columns, lighting brackets, Lanterns, bollards and signs

• The changing of lamps, lanterns, covers, electric cells, fuses, capacitors, switches

• Assist Street Lighting Electricians with fault finding and repair

• Assist with excavations for installations of Feeder Pillars, Lighting columns, Signposts, Bollards, EV Charge points and speed cameras

• Management of on site point of work risk assessments

• Identify and report safety observations

• Set up and removal of site traffic management / pedestrian Management

• Responsible for company Property, Equipment and Vehicles., Day in, day out, our teams deliver amazing projects in challenging conditions; developing, managing and maintaining the vital infrastructure and public spaces that modern economies, societies and communities rely on.

• Able to demonstrate technical knowledge and analytical skills

• Must be comfortable working within a team as well as working alone

• Capable of working at height

• A good level of written and numerical skills

• A demonstrable ability to learn new processes quickly

• IT skills Excel, Word ability to use a Tablet / Apps

• Full clean UK Driving Licence., * ECS Card to relevant level

• CSCS/NPORS card

• IPAF 1b + Harness and Fall Arrest training

• G39/1 Working in the vicinity of DNO

• NRSWA operative training

• 302.1 (12D) Traffic Management

• Manual Handling training

• Emergency First Aid (1 Day)training.
