Overview
Street Lighting Defect Coordinator – M25 role at Balfour Beatty plc. Based in South Mimms or Blunts Farm. In this role you\’ll assist in the identification, processing and planning of all 7/14 day and 6-month repairs identified on the network. Maintain associated data in Agile Assets to meet defect deadline dates.
Some travel within the quadrant and around the network will be required, and the successful candidate will need a full driving licence.
What you’ll be doing
- Responsible for the identification and efficient management of all Agile/Confirm defect lighting works for the network – producing the plan.
- Liaise with relevant schedulers/planners to co-ordinate specific works.
- Maintain associated data in Agile Assets/Confirm to meet defect deadline date.
- Work with the Street Lighting team (Street Lighting Manager, Supervisor and Street Lighting Scheduler) to continually adjust and refine short-term programme to ensure all KPIs (Cat 1, Cat 2, Cat 3 defects) and compliance with Environmental Protection Act and planned maintenance for street lighting are met.
- On occasion, assist Street Lighting team with detailed resource planning, including people, plant and materials.
- Process delivery notes into the financial management system.
- Collate and maintain records relating to defects and repairs for lighting across the network.
- Provide general administrative support within a working depot environment.
Qualifications and experience
- Previous experience in highway maintenance or regulated sectors (e.g., rail, utilities, energy).
- Knowledge and experience of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality standards within a highways context.
- Similar experience in a works co-ordination/planning role.
- Current UK driving licence.
- Competent in the use of MS Office applications (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project or similar).
Desirable experience
- Knowledge and experience of traffic management on high-speed roads.
- Working knowledge of highways maintenance activities, traffic management and incident management.
