We’re looking for a motivated Section Foreman to join our UKCS Scotland team. In this role, you will support the supervision and coordination of on-site activities, working closely with Gangers, direct labour teams, and subcontractors. You’ll play a key part in ensuring safe, high-quality delivery of works while embracing our values and commitment to Zero Harm. What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting Work Package Plans, Risk Assessments, and Temporary Works solutions.
  • Identifying hazards and ensuring proactive implementation of safety controls.
  • Ensuring plant, equipment, and tools are safe, maintained, and suitable for use.
  • Supporting the delivery of Task Briefings, toolbox talks and quality-related discussions.
  • Monitoring workmanship, driving a Right First Time culture, and reporting non-conformances.
  • Carrying out Safety & Environmental Tours and staying up to date with relevant legislation.
  • Communicating daily and weekly programme requirements to the workforce.
  • Supporting resource planning, plant validation, and project cost-control processes.
  • Helping to monitor progress against KPIs and contributing to weekly programme updates.
  • Reviewing daily records, identifying additional works, and ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Engaging with subcontractors and direct labour teams to drive continual improvement.

Who we're looking for:

We’re seeking someone enthusiastic and ready to take responsibility, with the following qualities and experience:

Essential:

  • Strong communicator able to explain safe systems of work clearly.
  • Capable of taking ownership of tasks and delivering outcomes.
  • Flexible approach with willingness to work nights or weekends when required.
  • Able to work independently and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Hold a valid driving licence, CSCS card, and SMSTS.
  • Strong team player with good interpersonal skills.
  • Good understanding of H&S legislation and incident/accident protocols.
  • Proven experience delivering toolbox talks and allocating resources.
  • Understanding of construction tolerances, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Experience managing direct labour or subcontractors.
  • Ability to monitor programme milestones and prevent scope creep.

Desirable:

  • Experience in high-profile projects such as earthworks, deep drainage, or reinforced concrete works.
  • A solution-orientated mindset with strong analytical and prioritisation skills.
  • Ability to take ownership of a work section from start through to handover.
