We’re looking for a forward-thinking, self-driven professional to join our Asset & Technology Solutions team — someone with a passion for new equipment, sustainable solutions, and making meaningful improvements across plant and equipment operations. In this role, you won’t just keep us up to date — you’ll help lead the industry. You’ll work closely with OEMs, supply chain partners, site teams, and technical specialists to identify opportunities, introduce innovative products, and ensure we’re consistently using the safest, most efficient, and most sustainable plant across the business.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead the evaluation and integration of new plant, equipment, and technologies.
- Manage product trials, approvals, and the full suite of plant specifications on our BMS.
- Build strong supplier relationships and conduct regular compliance audits.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, regulatory developments, and sustainability standards.
- Play a key role in the New Product Approval and Innovation & Sustainability working groups.
- Collaborate across Engineering, Operations, H&S, Plant Hire, Supply Chain and more.
- Produce and present technical reports, status updates, and project documentation.
- Support commercial considerations and contribute to project budgets.
- Promote Zero Harm and ensure all processes meet company policies and standards.
- Represent the business at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events.
Who we’re looking for:
Essential:
- Strong background in the plant hire industry.
- Previous auditing experience and confidence dealing with supply chain partners.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to identify market opportunities, tech innovations, and emerging solutions.
- Strong organisational, planning, and report-writing capabilities.
- Good commercial, financial, and customer-facing experience.
- High level of computer literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint; MS Project desirable).
- Self-motivated, proactive, and confident working independently.
- Clear drive, ambition, and entrepreneurial flair.
Desirable:
- Engineering experience (Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical).
- Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (BEng, MEng, MSc).
- Proven project management capability.
