Balfour Beatty are looking for a Project Trainer to join our Power Transmission and Distribution Team covering our projects in Scotland.
The Project Trainer will work alongside our SMEs and training team to deliver training programmes to our Site Engineers across the country, assessing all Project staff trainees to ensure they are compliant with current legislation and company standards. This role can be based anywhere within Scotland and will involve regular travel to Power T&D sites; a company car will be provided and any overnight expenses covered. When not travelling, the role can be done remotely.
What you’ll be doing:
- Assess all Project staff trainees to ensure they are compliant with current legislation and company standards.
- Work in conjunction with the Training team to continually evaluate the effectiveness of the training solution(s) in relation to business needs and realign where appropriate or develop new training materials.
- Develop training material and activities.
- Assess/manage and deliver project job role training and support.
- Train & deliver various training packages (setting to work/managing subcontractors, project fundamentals, etc.).
- Produce training programmes for project job role activity.
- Deliver various Training and assess end point assessment events.
- Travel throughout the UK assessing and delivering project role Training.
- Ensure that you develop your capabilities through continuing professional development.
Who we’re looking for:
- Essential:
- Experience of working within construction/Power or utilities industry at a supervisor/engineer level.
- Able to lead and manage work teams (Person in Charge).
- To hold a UK full driving licence and willingness to travel.
- Competent in use of MS Office – Excel, Word, Outlook.
- Desirable:
- Previous training experience, knowledge sharing, development and coaching of others would be advantageous.
- Relevant Training and Assessment qualifications, CIPD/CPD accreditation (or equivalent).
- Management or Supervision Qualification.
