Balfour Beatty have a fantastic opportunity for a Project Coordinator to join the power T&D team based in the Westhill office in Aberdeen. Reporting to the Head of Operations and assisting primarily with aiding the project management lifecycle process within the Gated Business Lifecycle.

Coordinate a standard and consistent approach to the delivery of projects on time, to cost and quality. Supports improvements in project management processes, project reporting and set up assistance during initiation, planning, design, delivery, monitoring, commissioning and handover/close out.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Attend periodic project reviews (PRM) and update the Digital Briefcase in accordance with GBL.
  • Assist to maintain accurate project records (progress, daily diaries etc.).
  • Prepare both internal/external reports and liaise with stakeholders.
  • Assist and provide minutes for meetings as requested by the Project Manager.
  • Execute project management administrative tasks, prepare and manage project management documents, such as the project plan, SHESQ documentation, schedule or scope statement, as directed by the project manager.
  • Support the Project Manager with administration of contract management software to raise and track contractual correspondence such as Early Warning Notifications and Compensation Events.
  • Support the H&S Management portal close out of Site Management Tour Safety Observation actions.
  • Support Accident/Incident Investigations reporting via the Project Manager.
  • Help to develop, implement and update resource allocation plans (OBS) and raise appropriate requests on behalf of the project manager.
  • Assist the Project Manager to lead risk/opportunity reviews.
  • Follow up on actions from IRIS with owners.
  • Log and elevate any issues that cannot be resolved at delegated level of authority.
  • Assist management of subcontractors, including monitoring of contractor attendance and progress, providing direct instruction and support as necessary, such that contractual arrangements are achieved.

Who we’re looking for:

The Following Qualities/experience Are Essential:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
  • Experience in project management lifecycle process.
  • Proficient in commercial/project management communications.
  • Able to communicate effectively both verbal and written with all levels of the organisation.
  • Good interpersonal skills that enable working relationships to be developed at all levels across the business and be able to negotiate and influence.
  • Able to undertake work in high pressure situations with a flexible attitude.
  • A record of a solutions‑based approach to problem solving.
  • Full UK Driving licence.

The Following Qualities/experience Are Desirable:

  • Experience of working on a variety of project types.
  • Proficient on O365.

The role holder is likely to have one or more of the following: Holds or working towards a formal further education qualification in business or project management/construction or experience equivalent.
