About The Role
At Balfour Beatty, we’re building a sustainable future. The Net Zero Teesside Project is a groundbreaking initiative combining a gas‑fired power station with advanced carbon capture technology – a vital part of the East Coast Cluster. We’re seeking a Project Construction Engineer to lead the delivery of our Temporary Site Services electrical system and support the Project Manager in driving this flagship infrastructure project forward.
What you'll be doing
- Oversee all phases of Temporary Site Services works, including enabling works.
- Manage site logistics and coordinate labour, plant, and materials.
- Champion sustainable practices, including zero‑emission plant and digital power systems.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to hit critical milestones.
- Lead and motivate the team, ensuring accurate site records and inductions.
- Monitor short‑term programmes and maintain progress records.
- Deliver Toolbox Talks and drive Zero Harm culture.
- Manage budgets, cost control, and resource efficiency.
- Oversee subcontractor performance and project programme delivery.
- Maintain quality standards, conduct audits, and implement improvements.
