About The Role
Balfour Beatty plays a key role as part of the Anglian Water's @one Alliance. We're looking for an experienced BIM Technician to develop intelligent 3D models that support the design and construction of water and wastewater treatment infrastructure. You'll collaborate within a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, leveraging advanced digital tools to drive efficiency, innovation, safety, and sustainability.
What you’ll be doing
- Create, amend and maintain detailed 3D models using Revit, Plant 3D, and other BIM applications.
- Develop and model pipework and duct routes in alignment with industry standards and project specifications.
- Integrate supplier information, installation details, and technical specifications into BIM models.
- Support digital integration of health and safety considerations throughout the design process.
- Ensure outputs meet BIM standards including ISO 19650, ISO 9001, and project-specific requirements.
- Collaborate closely with engineers and project teams, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in team meetings, coordination sessions, and model reviews using tools such as Navisworks and Recap.
- Champion digital innovation and adopt new technologies that enhance performance and reduce carbon footprint.
Who we’re looking for
We’d love to hear from you if you bring:
- Strong proficiency in Revit and Plant 3D for producing 3D models and engineering drawings.
- Experience within the water sector (desirable but not essential).
- Understanding of BIM standards and procedures (ISO 19650, PAS 1192, ISO 9001).
- Knowledge of mechanical or civil engineering disciplines.
- Experience with Navisworks and Recap for coordination and visualisation.
- Ability to interpret engineering specifications and produce high-quality documentation.
- A proactive approach to learning and digital innovation.
- A strong commitment to safety and CDM compliance.
- A positive, collaborative mindset that supports an inclusive team environment.
