Balfour Beatty is a leading international infrastructure group that delivers some of the UK’s most complex major projects across transport, energy and the built environment. The Major Projects Work Winning team plays a critical role in securing these opportunities by producing compelling, high‑quality bid and client materials that reflect our capability, credibility and collaborative approach.
We are seeking a talented and detail‑focused Digital Content Creator to join our Major Projects Work Winning team on a 12‑month maternity cover basis. This role is focused on the creation of polished, high‑impact visual materials that support competitive tendering and client engagement activities. Working closely with senior internal stakeholders, you will transform technical and commercial content into clear, visually engaging and client‑ready materials. While the role may include some light coordination on live bids during peak times, it is primarily focused on graphics and visual content production with a strong emphasis on quality, consistency and storytelling.
What you’ll be doing:
- Design and produce high‑quality work‑winning materials, including bid and proposal brochures, high‑impact PowerPoint presentations, client‑facing documents and briefing notes, infographics, diagrams and visual assets.
- Translate complex information into clear, compelling and visually engaging content.
- Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders, heads of department and subject matter experts to shape and refine materials.
- Ensure all outputs meet brand guidelines and are accurate, consistent and of a high professional standard.
- Apply best practice in layout, typography and visual communication across all materials.
- Develop and manage bid templates to support efficient delivery.
- Support the final production and formatting aspects of submissions, working closely with in‑house or external graphics teams.
- Provide light bid coordination support if required by the Head of Bids and Proposals.
Who we’re looking for:
- Proven experience producing high‑quality, client‑facing materials, ideally within a work‑winning, bid, professional services or infrastructure environment.
- Advanced skills in PowerPoint and strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
- Excellent eye for design, layout and detail, with a strong focus on quality.
- Confident working with senior internal stakeholders and managing feedback constructively.
- Well‑organised, adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities to tight deadlines.
- Strong presentation skills with excellent attention to detail, spelling, punctuation and grammar.
- Attention to detail and the ability to see tasks through to completion.
- Ability to manage time effectively, proactively seeking activities that will add value to their function.
- Ability to utilise AI where it helps provide efficiencies, without sacrificing the accuracy of information.
Benefits:
- Smart working: flexible staggered start and finish times, up to 40% remote working where roles allow.
- 25 days paid annual leave (pro‑rata).
- Family‑friendly policies: 28 weeks full pay for maternity/adoption leave and four weeks full pay for paternity/partners leave.
- Pension, share incentive plan, volunteering leave, recognition schemes and more.
