Role Purpose: As a Lifting Coordinator you will be a fundamental part of our site construction team responsible for the day-to-day functions as the appointed person to review, approve, and coordinate all crane rigging and lifting operations at site. You will also provide subcontractor supervisors with information and technical direction required to complete their scopes safely, timely and in a quality manner.
What you’ll be doing:
- Support the Employers contractual requirements in relation to project Lifting management.
- Ensure all operations adhere to laws, guidelines, and ISO requirements.
- Ensure all lifting operations comply with LOLER and PUWER regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments.
- Manage lifting equipment inspections, certifications, and maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate with site teams, crane operators, Lift Supervisors and subcontractors to ensure safe lifting practices.
Who we’re looking for:
- Demonstrates leadership and commitment to Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW).
- Actively encourages and leads the BBK and contractor teams to implement and comply with Project HSW requirements.
- Ensures all relevant HSW requirements are incorporated into area of responsibility and that, in consultation with site management and HSW team, HSW hazards are eliminated or mitigated to the extent practicable.
- Ensures that lift plans, risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) are reviewed with regard to HSW requirements and satisfy site safe systems of work.
- Determines scope and prepares work packs detailing extent of lifting operations.
- Acts as the principal contractor in the coordination of all lifting activities onsite, leading by example.
- Monitor workflow, crane scheduling, and service delivery to meet deadlines.
- Track project activities and maintain detailed daily logs, reports, and time sheets.
- Participate in client meetings, pre-lift briefings, and site management activities to determine project requirements.
- Act as a key point of contact for client, ensuring project objectives are met professionally and cost-effectively.
- Attend daily coordination meetings.
- Experience of planning and controlling lifting operations required in: Tower Crane, Mobile and Crawler Cranes, MEWPS, Lifting with excavators (180 and 360), Lorry loaders, Compact cranes, Telehandlers (on forks and suspended loads), Manual Mechanical lifting (chain-blocks, overhead gantries, hoists, etc.), Slinging and Rigging activities, Daily coordination of all lifts onsite, Manage/coordinate lifts for free issue mobile cranes.
- Ensure project documentation and files are maintained in line with company procedures.
- Attend weekly internal / contractor meetings.

- Ensuring documents are compliant with latest works information and kept Up To Date and reviewed on a minimum 6 monthly basis.
