Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a HSEQ Auditor to join our outstanding Major Projects team to work at our Old Oak Common development in London – join us and be part of the largest construction project in the UK. The Old Oak Common station will be a major new hub with six underground platforms and up to eight platforms on the adjacent Great Western Main Line, providing high-speed rail services and an exceptional customer experience.
As a HSEQ Auditor, you will be responsible for ensuring the Old Oak Common Project has a comprehensive risk-based audit process embedded to verify compliance of both BBVS and Supply Chain parties to legislative, corporate and contract requirements.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of HSEQ requirements (including statutory and contract).
- Support Audit Manager with development and maintenance of a risk-based audit schedule for HSEQ ISO compliance.
- Arrange and manage Internal and supply chain audits (including producing reports and supporting close out of findings).
- Coordinate and manage external audits including those from JV partners, client, certification bodies and other interested parties.
- Assist with investigations, with respect to quality incidents, to determine the facts and root causes including issuing reports and associated recommendations.

- Internal auditor (ISO 9001) Qualified.
- Self-confident with the ability to build strong relationships with the project team members, suppliers, client representatives, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to gather, analyse and evaluate facts, make appropriate judgements, and act accordingly without undue delay.
- Pays attention to detail and sees things through to completion.
- Can communicate effectively (orally and written).
- Ability to influence others including senior management.
- Can demonstrate initiative and resilience.
- Acts professionally, both independently and collaboratively, with others.
- Has an enquiring and questioning approach.
- Good time management.
- Use of Word and Excel to an intermediate level (demonstrate in a skills test).
- An aptitude for IT deployment.
