We are currently looking for an Employee Communications Executive to join our team in London. You will create, plan, deliver and measure effective and engaging communications and channels that span the UK business, specific UK Divisions, UK Business Units or UK-wide supply chain partners. This role will be hybrid with 3 days per week based at our London office.

What you'll be doing

  • Deliver the set outputs and objectives of communication plans by working closely with team members in the wider UK Communication function.
  • Support delivery of communications for UK-wide strategic initiatives where primary audience is employees.
  • Support Employee Communication managers and leaders to ensure timely delivery of strategic activity, including events as required.
  • Researching and writing compelling content for employee communication channels including SharePoint articles and newsletters.
  • Support the creation and management of content for our corporate internal channels and act as a champion for their best practice use. Channels include newsletters, posters, Viva Engage, Sharepoint, email platform and Balfour Beatty TV screens.
  • Keep key content trackers up to date and work with other EC colleagues to ensure content is strategic and planned.
  • Develop strong relationships across the team to create a continuous pipeline of quality content that can be used across a range of channels and ensure messages reach the right audience(s) at the right time.
  • Work effectively with suppliers that support delivery of communication activity.
  • Support with team admin as and when required, including management of purchase orders.
  • Complying with company policies and guidelines.
  • Ensure appropriate signoffs are obtained for all published content.
  • Support delivery of internal events and conferences as required.

Who we're looking for

  • Excellent communication, digital, written and interpersonal skills, focus on quality and creativity.
  • Good stakeholder management skills, with experience of reaching communications goals.
  • Team player with ability to work with individuals and teams across multiple projects at once.
  • Adapts positively to changing business demands.
  • Self-starter with excellent organisation skills and ability to manage conflicting deadlines.
  • A clean driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally.
  • Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office.

Desirable

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, public relations, communications or a related field.
  • Experience of working in complex and fast-moving organisations.
  • Member of CIPR and relevant qualification.
  • Experience of working in design and editing software.
