CCTV Operator

Overview

We’re looking for a dedicated CCTV Operator to join our team in Derby. This is a vital role where you’ll help protect people, property, and operations by monitoring surveillance systems and responding to incidents in real time.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring multiple CCTV screens and alarm systems to detect suspicious activity.
• Analysing live and recorded footage to identify potential threats.
• Reporting incidents to security teams, law enforcement, and management.
• Maintaining and troubleshooting CCTV equipment.
• Ensuring compliance with data protection laws and privacy regulations.
• Supporting investigations and collaborating with emergency services.
• Keeping accurate logs and preparing detailed incident reports.
• Assisting with training and mentoring new team members.

Qualifications

• Essential: A valid SIA Front Line Licence for CCTV operations.
• Desirable: Previous experience in a CCTV or security role.
• Desirable: Strong technical skills in operating surveillance systems.
• Desirable: Excellent attention to detail and observational skills.
• Desirable: Basic IT skills for data entry and incident reporting.
