Balfour Beatty is seeking a Civils Site Foreman to join our Regional Civils team working on a major Overhead Lines (OHL) project in Bristol. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a high-profile power infrastructure scheme, supporting the safe and efficient delivery of works critical to the UK’s energy network. You’ll be working within a collaborative project team, contributing to quality, safety, and programme performance on site while developing your career with a leading infrastructure organisation.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supervising site activities and workforce on a day-to-day basis
- Ensuring works are carried out in line with programme, drawings, and OHL specifications
- Leading and promoting high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance
- Coordinating plant, materials, and labour to meet project requirements
- Managing subcontractors and ensuring quality standards are achieved
- Carrying out site briefings, toolbox talks, and daily activity planning
- Reporting progress, issues, and risks to site management
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience as a Site Foreman or Supervisor within construction or utilities
- Experience on overhead lines, power, or major infrastructure projects (highly desirable)
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Good understanding of health & safety regulations and safe systems of work
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
- SMSTS or SSSTS (or willingness to obtain)
- A proactive, organised, and safety-first approach
