Join our Power Commercial team as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, and you'll play a key role in delivering complex, high‐value work that truly matters to our business. You'll also contribute to some of the most significant infrastructure projects in the industry. Balfour Beatty Power is at the forefront of the UK's transition to Net Zero. We're reinforcing Scotland's energy network to secure community connections and support the integration of new wind power.

Direct experience in the power sector isn't essential; you'll build this through structured training, on‐the‐job learning, and ongoing professional support. What you'll be doing:
- Manage costs in relation to infrastructure projects with experience of identifying commercial risks and opportunities in respect of their works.
- Deliver varied commercial duties including responsibility for procuring and managing supply chain.
- Optimise commercial performance through diligent cost control and value for money opportunities, whilst achieving the required standards and quality for our customers.
- Create and maintain commercial relationships to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Contract administration with both client and subcontractors.
- Provide support and adherence for the Gated Business Lifecycle processes.
- Mentor and develop junior members of the team.
- Proactively drive career and personal development, including professional certification.
- Commercial management of a large infrastructure project or a portfolio of smaller projects.
Who we're looking for:
- BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or experience equivalent.
- Membership of RICS, ICES or CIOB (or working towards).
- Experience with key contracts such as NEC.
- Good communication skills.
