Join our Power Transmission and Distribution team as a Site Based Project Engineer (Cabling) on our Operational Team and you’ll deliver complex work that really matters to our business, and the world around you.

As a Project Engineer your role will be:

  • To formalise and specify a delivery solution.
  • To brief out the solution to the working party and ensure it is followed and completed.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage, monitor and motivate a multi-skilled team of engineers, subcontractors and other construction experts.
  • Take responsibility for smaller projects or sections of larger projects.
  • Set performance targets and carry out analysis to make sure your team are working to the highest standards of safety and quality.
  • Be involved in the procurement of subcontractors.
  • Develop and deliver the engineered solution and brief to the working party.
  • Safely and sustainably deliver activity to programme, cost and quality.
  • Monitor and record works to ensure compliance in a timely manner.
  • Support and develop an environment where the working party can thrive and succeed.
  • Effectively manage and care for the people delivering the work.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Experience of supporting large infrastructure projects within our Industry.
  • Knowledge and experience of Project Management methodology.
  • Strong People Management.
  • Commercial awareness with knowledge of both budgetary and financial control.
  • Excellent relationship management skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
