Balfour Winery is one of England’s most celebrated wine destinations, known for award-winning wines, exceptional dining, beautiful estate experiences, and a collection of pubs with boutique rooms. We’re looking for an experienced, energetic Hospitality Manager to support our management team across the winery’s restaurant, kitchen, guest dining spaces, and The Winemakers Pub in Goudhurst.
About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing day-to-day hospitality operations across multiple sites. You’ll work closely with the Hospitality Management Team to ensure seamless service, consistent standards, and an exceptional guest experience - whether guests are enjoying a vineyard lunch, a tasting room visit, a pub meal, or a stay in one of our boutique rooms.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support front-of-house teams across the winery and The Winemakers Pub
- Oversee dining service and daily operational standards
- Work closely with the kitchen to maintain smooth coordination and high-quality food service
- Ensure consistent guest experience across all hospitality venues
- Support recruitment, training, and development of FOH staff
- Assist with rota planning, stock control, and operational reporting
- Uphold Balfour’s premium brand standards in every interaction
- Contribute to events, seasonal experiences, and new hospitality initiatives

- Strong hospitality leadership experience, ideally across restaurant or multi-site operations
- A confident, positive communicator who thrives in guest-facing environments
