Contract: Temporary – Ad hoc
Pay: £13.68 per hour

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable young people? Balfor Healthcare is looking for dedicated and compassionate Support Workers in the Macclesfield, Cheshire area to join our team.

In this flexible and rewarding role, you’ll support young people who have faced mental health challenges, trauma, and homelessness. You’ll play a crucial part in helping them regain confidence, stability, and independence.

What You’ll Do:

  • Offer emotional support and guidance to young people facing life’s toughest challenges.
  • Build trust and create meaningful relationships grounded in empathy and understanding.
  • Carry out well-being checks and ensure the safety of all individuals in your care.
  • Assist with daily routines and basic domestic tasks to promote independence.
  • Support personal development by helping individuals set and achieve personal goals.
  • Maintain a secure and safe environment across supported living and homeless settings.

Shift Patterns Available:

  • 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM
  • 8:30 PM – 8:30 AM

What We’re Looking For:

  • At least 6 months of experience in UK health & social care, ideally supporting young people.
  • Experience with mental health, trauma, substance misuse, or care leavers.
  • Understanding of the challenges within the homelessness sector.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or Young People (preferred).
  • A valid, enhanced DBS on the update service.
  • Proof of right to work in the UK.
  • Up-to-date training certificates and willingness to learn.
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred).
  • No visa or working restrictions.
