The Role

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will

  • Support pupils on a one-to-one basis, in small groups, or within the classroom.
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Adapt learning resources to meet individual learning needs.
  • Support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) where required.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and promote pupils’ social and emotional development.
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
  • Provide personal care where required.
  • Promote safeguarding and the welfare of all pupils.

Requirements

  • To be considered for this Level 3 Teaching Assistant position, you will need:
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential).
  • Previous experience working in a Primary, Secondary, or SEN school.
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND is desirable.
  • Safeguarding, Prevent, and FGM training (free training available through Balfor Education).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, caring, and resilient approach.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • The flexibility to work across a variety of school settings.
