Level 3 Teaching Assistant , you’ll play a vital role in supporting pupils’ academic progress, personal development, and wellbeing while helping teachers create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
The Role
As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will
- Support pupils on a one-to-one basis, in small groups, or within the classroom.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Adapt learning resources to meet individual learning needs.
- Support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) where required.
- Encourage positive behaviour and promote pupils’ social and emotional development.
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
- Provide personal care where required.
- Promote safeguarding and the welfare of all pupils.
Requirements
- To be considered for this Level 3 Teaching Assistant position, you will need:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential).
- Previous experience working in a Primary, Secondary, or SEN school.
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND is desirable.
- Safeguarding, Prevent, and FGM training (free training available through Balfor Education).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, caring, and resilient approach.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- The flexibility to work across a variety of school settings.
