Balfor Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Coventry. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate education professional looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with additional learning needs.

If you have experience supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and complex needs, we’d love to hear from you.

The Role

  • Support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Deliver learning activities and interventions under the guidance of teaching staff.
  • Help create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, teachers and parents.
  • Encourage students to develop academically, socially and emotionally.

Requirements

  • Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting pupils with SLD, MLD, ASD and complex learning needs.
  • Level 1 Safeguarding Certificate.
  • Recent school-based references.
  • Valid photo identification (Driving Licence or Passport).
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate registered with the DBS Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
