About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of English to join a collaborative and forward-thinking secondary school in Walsall. This is an excellent opportunity for an English Teacher looking for either short-term or long-term placements within a school that values innovation, high standards, and student achievement. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons as an English Teacher across the secondary curriculum
- Assess, mark, and provide constructive feedback to support student progress
- Maintain excellent classroom management in line with school policies
- Promote positive behaviour and effective learning
- Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development, and school initiatives
- Support students’ academic progress, wellbeing, and personal development
- Collaborate with colleagues to drive high standards across the English department
Requirements – English Teacher
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Minimum 6 months UK teaching experience within a secondary school
- Ability to teach English across multiple Key Stages
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to delivering high-quality lessons and improving student outcomes
- Flexible to work in short-term or long-term roles
Safeguarding & Compliance
