Balfor are seeking a passionate, dynamic, and experienced Registered Manager to lead an established childrens home supporting young people aged 5-17 with Emotional and Behavioral Difficulties (EBD) and Learning Disabilities (LD). The home is already open and currently supports three children, with a dedicated and settled staff team in place.
Role Overview
As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standard of care and a nurturing environment for all young people. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining Ofsted registration and ensuring the home consistently meets all regulatory and quality standards.
- Leading, mentoring, and developing the staff team, promoting a positive, child-centered culture.
- Overseeing person-centered care planning, ensuring each young person receives tailored, therapeutic, and outcome-focused support.
- Driving continuous improvement across the service to ensure safe, high-quality practice.
- Providing strong, visible leadership, modelling best practice in the support of children with EBD and LD.
Requirements
- Recent experience as a Childrens Home Registered Manager.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Proven experience supporting children with EBD and/or Learning Disabilities in a residential setting.
- At least 2 years experience managing a residential staff team.
- Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and multi-agency working.
- A track record of achieving at least a Good Ofsted rating within the last two years.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- A full driving license and access to a vehicle.
- An enhanced DBS.
