A specialist SEN primary school in Coleshill is currently seeking a full-time 1:1 Teaching Assistant. This supportive and inclusive school caters to students who experience social, emotional, and mental health difficulties, alongside other needs such as ASD, ADHD, and speech or language challenges.
This role will include supporting teachers with material preparation for lessons, assisting with displays, managing behaviour support plans, and providing direct 1:1 or small group support focused on emotional regulation, social interaction, and learning.
The ideal candidate for a TA role should:
- Demonstrate experience or a strong interest in supporting children with SEMH and related needs
- Possess prior experience collaborating within a specialist or mainstream SEN setting
- Exhibit flexibility, proactivity, and patience
- Show nurturing and compassionate qualities in their approach

A new enhanced DBS will be needed for this role or a subscription to the DBS update service.
Requirements:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification
- PECS and Makaton training/experience (desirable)

- Level 1 Safeguarding Certificate
- Recent school-based references
- Valid Photo ID – Driving Licence or Passport
- Full Enhanced DBS – on the update service
