THE POSITION
AEMG Education’s collaborative articulation partnerships aim at facilitating Chinese students and other global students, who are studying an undergraduate degree in China or globally, to transfer to an overseas partner to complete a secondary degree.
You would be responsible for the delivery of the EAP curriculum to student studying within the Chinese university.
This is a full-time position of 38-hours per week. This is organised as follows:
A maximum 21 teaching hours face to face in the classroom
Up to 17 hours dedicated to administrative tasks: lesson planning, branch meetings, tutorials etc. across two semesters in the academic year.
The role sees teachers working in a co-teaching model to ensure seamless course delivery and will include a mentor system to assist in the support of teachers in China. This role will ensure that teachers are delivering classes face-to-face in China once the visa has been issued.
ENGAGEMENT
The teacher will be engaged as an Independent Contractor. This means that they will be paid for the days worked each month both in and out of the teaching period
They will be paid in Australian Dollars (AUD) into their nominated bank account.
This engagement also includes 10 days of paid annual leave during the summer or winter vacations.
Teachers will also be paid for any professional development sessions conducted by AEMG throughout the academic year.

REQUIREMENTS OF CANDIDATES

English Language Qualification (TEFL / TESOL / CELTA qualification as a minimum),
Master’s degree
Prior university teaching experience, ideally focusing on EAP,
Minimum of three-year EAP teaching experience at a recognised provider,
Demonstrated ability to prepare and present student-centred lessons aligned with course and learning outcomes,
Experience in using a learning management system to assist and enhance the delivery of subject content,
Excellent student/classroom engagement,
Knowledge of assessment and moderation processes,
Highly developed communication and organisation skills, and
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team.
