Academic English Tutor

We’re seeking an Academic English Tutor to work across our diverse programmes, including Pre-sessional courses, Foundation programmes, academic language courses for international students, and intensive general English courses. More details about our activities can be found on our website.

Successful candidates will possess excellent teaching skills, flexibility, a positive attitude towards role variety, and strong time management skills, as these qualities are highly valued by our current team.

You will join a reputable Centre, recognized by the British Council and BALEAP for its strengths and ongoing development. We emphasize continuous improvement and adaptability in higher education and language teaching, especially amid sector uncertainties, which is why this is a two-year contract initially.

We seek candidates who can confidently fulfill the role as outlined and who can contribute positively to our team discussions, focusing on solutions rather than limitations. Qualifications as specified in the person specification are preferred, though we recognize equivalencies.

Interview schedule:

1. First-round online interviews: week commencing 07th July 2025
2. Second-round in-person interviews: Friday, 25th July 2025
3. Teaching Pre-sessional classes online: Thursday, 31st July 2025

Job Salary & Benefits

£37,174 to £45,413 per annum, depending on experience.
