Job description: Overview Join our dynamic team as an HGV Tramping Driver and take on an exciting role that combines the thrill of long-distance driving with the satisfaction of delivering essential Crane Components across diverse locations. This position offers the opportunity to work independently while contributing to a vital Crane support team. As an HGV Tramping Driver, you'll be responsible for transporting Crane equipment, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining high safety standards throughout your journey. This role is perfect for motivated drivers who thrive on adventure, responsibility, and delivering excellence every mile of the way. Duties * Operate heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) safely and efficiently across various routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations * Load, secure, and unload cargo with precision, ensuring proper handling of Crane equipment during transit. * Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns. * Complete accurate delivery documentation. * Maintain a professional demeanour when interacting with clients, Construction staff. * Follow all company policies regarding driving hours, rest periods, and compliance with transportation regulations to ensure safety at all times Qualifications * Valid HGV driving license with a clean driving record * Proven experience operating Articulated Lorries. * Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and transportation laws applicable to commercial driving * Experience with Heavy Haulage. * Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues * Excellent time management skills. * Good physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks when necessary Join us as an HGV Tramping Driver and become part of a dedicated team committed to safe, reliable Crane Support that keep businesses moving forward.
