The MSI E&S Homeowners team focuses on producing profitable surplus lines homeowners business, specifically in the Affluent and High Net Worth segments. The MSI E&S Homeowners Underwriting Assistant will be responsible for providing efficient operational support for the E&S Homeowners Underwriting team.
- Fully assist Underwriters in all aspects of their primary responsibility
- Interact with partner brokers and provide superior customer service
- Review and execute policy issuance and servicing requests
- Review submissions for completeness, accuracy and make requests for additional information
- Ensure underwriting files have adequate documentation
- Responsible for property inspection reviews and audits for high valued residential properties
- Attend team meetings and perform other duties as assigned
Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities Requirements:
- Previous homeowners insurance experience preferred with an insurance carrier, MGA, program administrator, or agency
- Ability to demonstrate a sense of urgency to resolve problems and meet broker, client and market expectations of service
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience working with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and ability to master proprietary software
- Ability to work autonomously when not directly supervised day to day
