Job Description
As an industry leader in wholesale, retail, and residential food distribution, Baldor Specialty Foods continues to grow and evolve at a rapid pace across all departments. The Warehouse Helper I – Picker is responsible for the efficient movement, selecting, and loading of food products, accurate scanning, transactions, and timely documentation. Key fundamentals include repetitive lifting, visual identification, and understanding labeling practices. The individual is required to accurately select and carefully handle products efficiently.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Select proper product from designated warehouse area (bins/shelves/racks).
- Build pallets proactively to prevent product damage.
- Handle and package product carefully and in a sanitary manner.
- Pick an average of 120 packages per hour.
- Stack product for loading with care to prevent damage, at supervisor’s discretion.
- Shrink wrap finished pallets for final loading.
- Complete pick documentation, productivity worksheets, and identify product for individual customers.
- Maintain proper housekeeping standards for all work areas.
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
- Report product damage or loss to supervisor.
- Keep equipment and work areas safe, clean, and organized.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
